Paris 2024: For record Eighth time, Nigeria has failed to win medal at Olympics

Team Nigeria will not be making it to the medals table at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The performance of Nigerian athletes has been disappointing throughout the Games.

Despite some initial hope from standout athletes like Tobi Amusan, Ese Brume, Blessing Oborodudu, Ruth Usoro, Pristina Ochonogor, and Ogazi, their efforts ultimately did not result in any medals.

The final blow came when Nigeria’s last competitor, Hannah Reuben, lost her wrestling match in the 76kg category.

Reuben was defeated 5-2 by Mongolia’s Davaanasan Amar Enkh.

This marks Nigeria’s worst performance at the Olympics since the London 2012 Games.

The next opportunity for redemption will be at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

Here are Nigeria’s outing at the Olympics, that the country didn’t win any medal
