Ambrose Ahimbisibwe

Twenty four hours after announcement of Super Falcons roster for this month’s Olympics tournament, an injury setback has erased opportunity for one of the invited players to represent the country at the prestigious competition.

Midfielder Halimatu Ayinde is the affected player after her parent club Rosengard confirmed the development.

“ Unfortunately, Halimatu Ayinde injured her knee during training yesterday and will miss the Olympics

We wish her a speedy recovery. Come on, Halimatu! 💪 “

With her omission, Coach Randy Waldrum is expected to name a replacement soon likely from the alternate players.

Nigeria, are pitted in group C alongside Brazil, Japan and current World Champions, Spain.
