Nwabali return clears doubts over Super Eagles friendlies

Ahead of the upcoming international break, doubts were high on whether AFCON revelation Stanley Nwabali would be available for Super Eagles friendlies later this month.

A week ago, the Nigerian custodian was reported to have picked up an injury in Chippa United’s 2-0 league defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Amidst the injury concerns, the 27 year old now looks set to feature for his country again this time round.

Nwabali, was present in goal as the Chilli boys beat FC Ravens 2-1 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup on Saturday.

His appearance erases the previous incident that had potentially ruled him out of the March test series.

The Super Eagles will play rivals Ghana first on 22nd March, 2024 before Mali four days later in Marrakech, Morocco.
