Rivers United secured a crucial 3-2 victory over Niger Tornadoes in their rescheduled NPFL fixture, ending their five-game winless streak.
Captain Nyima Nwagua opened the scoring for the home side in the 15th minute, followed by a quickfire goal from Ekerette Udom just five minutes later to establish a comfortable lead for Rivers United.

Niger Tornadoes refused to go down without a fight. Clinton Jephta pulled one back for the visitors in the 60th minute. Undeterred, Rivers United responded with a goal from Abubakar Sadiq to restore their two-goal advantage.
