BolajI makes history, claims Bronze for Nigeria at Paralympics

Mariam Eniola Bolaji has cemented her place in history by clinching Nigeria’s first medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

Bolaji dominated the Para-badminton women’s singles SL3 bronze medal match, defeating Ukraine’s Kozyna Oksana in straight sets (21-9, 21-9).  

The victory marks a double triumph, not only is it Nigeria’s first medal of the Paralympics, but Bolaji also becomes the  first African Para-athlete to reach the semifinals in the Para-Badminton event.
