‘I want to leave’ – Osimhen tells Napoli

Victor Osimhen set a New record in Napoli after his Hattrick

Napoli’s sporting director, Cristiano Manna, has officially confirmed that star striker Victor Osimhen has requested a transfer away from the club.

The Nigerian forward has been the subject of intense transfer speculation throughout the summer, despite signing a contract extension with Napoli last year. Despite the extension, which included a substantial £110 million release clause, Osimhen’s desire to leave has remained firm.

While Paris Saint-Germain was initially linked with a move for the African Footballer of the Year, the French champions have since withdrawn their interest.

With the transfer window drawing to a close, Napoli face a crucial decision regarding Osimhen’s future. Manna has indicated that the situation will be resolved within the next 20 days.

“Victor Osimhen has asked to leave the club. He wants to go,” Manna stated. “The situation is clear, there were already chances for his exit last summer… Victor wants to leave. We will see in the next 20 days.”
