Rivers Angels head coach, Whyte Ogbonda, expressed his team’s high spirits and motivation as they target the title in the ongoing NWFL Super Six tournament.
NWFL Super Six tournament is the title-deciding championship ongoing at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
Ogbonda’s comments come after a morale-boosting 2-1 victory over Edo Queens in their second match, following a draw against Bayelsa Queens in their opening fixture.

He said, “Well, I will say the team spirit is high now because looking at our last match when drew the match the commissioner motivated the players with 2 million naira and asked them to go and do more and the Governor said bring this cup to Port Harcourt and see what I will do for you,” Ogbonda said.
He continued, “We are ready to go for our next match and pick up three points.”
They will be playing against Nasarawa Amazon on Wednesday 22nd of May 2024.
