Newcastle United co-owner Amanda Staveley has claimed that there will be a Saudi club in the UEFA Champions League soon.
She added that the club are exploring an exciting plan that could see huge improvements in their academy.

Over the last couple of decades Newcastle’s academy has been heavily neglected with only a couple of names coming into the first team, but the new owners have placed a huge emphasis on turning that around.
Amanda Staveley: “I’m quite sure there will be a Saudi club in the UEFA Champions League.”
“I don’t know how long, but knowing Saudi, I don’t think it’ll take too long,” Speaking in Saudi Arabia at the Bloomberg Power Players’ summit.

On Newcastle’s academy, Staveley said: “I’m still a very big fan of the multi-club model. A lot of other competitors and friends in the Premier League have multi-club relationships, but it has to be considered as a whole.”
