Ogun set to deliver world-class National Sports Festival - commissioner for sports

The newly appointed commissioner for sports development in Ogun State, Wasiu Isiaka, has revealed that the state is ready to deliver a world-class national sports festival.

Naira Sports reported that Ogun State won the bid to host the 22nd edition of Nigeria’s Olympics.

Isiaka revealed this when he paid a familiarization visit to the management and members of staff of the Ogun State Sports Council on Thursday.

The commissioner was accompanied by the state permanent secretary, Dr. Quudus Yusuff, to the council, which also toured the sporting arena.

The commissioner told his audience that the preparation for the refurbishments of the sporting facilities as well as the procurement of equipment is in top gear.

He also revealed that Mr Governor, his excellence, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, is ready to support everything that will make the forthcoming NSF a success in the State

In her welcome address, the GM, Mrs. Folakemi Iyabode Rotimi, expressed the happiness and readiness of the entire management and staff of the council to work harmoniously with him.

She also introduced and explained the organogram of the sports council to the commissioner.
