NPFL: Wasteful Tornadoes suffers defeat against Doma United

Nelson Abiam’s first half added minutes header was all the the hosts needed to record a slim victory against the Ikon Allah Boys.

The encounter which started on a slow pace saw the two sides grew into the game midway through the half with the hosts winning more set plays against the visitors.

Few minutes before the break, Nelson Abiam connects his head with a decent pull out and nod home to break the deadlock.

Second half resumed and the Ikon Allah Boys upped their game with the quartet of Akintunde, Bashir and Clinton all tormenting the hosts with their mesmerizing displays.

Tornadoes introduced the likes of Yahuza Bala, Eric Frimpong and Bolaji Adeyemo and the changes proved quite handful as they added more flair and cordination to the teams play.

Bashir Usman came close to restoring parity twice; first, Kingdom Osayi parries his effort and was second time unlucky to put the visitors level when his ball hit the cross bar in the closing stage.

Hamza Abdul’azeez Abara commended the fighting spirit of his players especially during the second half.

“I’m happy with the boys today, they showed good character and commitment which means the team is gradually picking up, all we need to do now, is to consolidate on this impressive outing”.

“Doma United are a good side, especially at home, with the massive support from their fans”.

“To our fans back home, we solicit for their support and patience, the team is a work in progress”.
