NWFL: My Girls are ready for the season – Remo Stars Coach

Remo Stars Ladies coach, Mathew Wemmimo has revealed that her girls are ready for the task ahead in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).

Remo Stars Ladies will be making her debut when they host Rivers Angels at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Wednesday.

NAIRA SPORTS reported that Remo Stars Ladies was among the four clubs that promoted from the championship to the elite league last season.

Wemmimo disclosed that she believed in the girls after their display at the preseason tournament in Benin city.

She said, “Remo Stars Ladies is a new club, this is the first they will be participating in the NWFL and I believe the girls are going to do well concerning their performance, they are ready to give thier best.

“Just like the way they did in Edo at the just concluded Betsy Obaseki’s Cup,. Everyone saw it, out of thirteen teams, we are able to come out fourth.

“We took fourth which signifies a good start for us and people were surprised about the way we played in Benin and with the hope I have for the girls and thier determination, they are ready to do even more better during the league which I know that they are capable of doing.”

Ekiti Queens and Delta Queens played a goalless draw on Tuesday during the season opener.
