Paris 2024: Zambia welcome back Grace Chanda

After a lengthy period out, Madrid CFF and Zambia international Grace Chanda makes return to the national fold.

Head Coach Bruce Mwape has named the former Red Arrows forward in 34-member provisional squad to face Morocco in Olympics qualifiers next month.

A key figure for the Southern nation, Chanda has been on sidelines for almost nine months battling illness.

Her last appearance came in Copper Queens friendly against Switzerland on 30 June, 2023.

The same setback saw her miss the FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament in Australia and New Zealand.

Her arrival comes at such a crucial stage where Zambia eyes back to back appearances at Olympics finals.

The 2022 Africa Bronze medalists host the first leg of the ultimate round on 5th April before the reverse fixture in North Africa four days later.
