Rangers International FC claimed victory over Heartland FC in the Oriental Derby during matchday 27 of the Nigeria Premier Football League. The Enugu-based club continued to showcase their exceptional form this season.

The visitors took the lead in the 39th minute with a header from Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, setting the tone for the match. Kalu Nweke extended Rangers’ advantage with a goal in the 54th minute, further solidifying their dominance.

Although Heartland FC managed to pull one back in the 92nd minute, the late effort was not enough to alter the outcome, and Rangers emerged victorious with a final score of 2-1.

Heartland FC, currently languishing at the bottom of the table with 23 points, find themselves in a battle to avoid relegation as the season progresses.

Meanwhile, Rangers International ascended to the top of the league standings with 48 points, showcasing an impressive unbeaten streak of nine matches. Their consistent form makes them one of the most formidable teams in the league at present.
