Adesanya aims to Reclaim Middleweight title with Knockout at UFC 305

Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, with his Nigerian roots, is determined to regain his throne with a spectacular knockout victory at UFC 305.

His next challenge comes in the form of the dangerous South African grappler, Dricus du Plessis, according to BSNSports.com.ng.

Adesanya, nicknamed “The Last Stylebender,” enjoyed a phenomenal kickboxing career before transitioning to MMA.

Upon entering the UFC, he embarked on an impressive undefeated run, culminating in the capture of the middleweight title.

However, after two fights against Alex Pereira, Adesanya lost his crown to Sean Strickland, who himself was then dethroned by Dricus du Plessis.

Now, Adesanya sets his sights on reclaiming his middleweight glory at UFC 305, and he envisions a decisive knockout against the current champion.

Adesanya’s Strategy Against Du Plessis’ Grappling

In a recent interview, Adesanya shed light on his plan to overcome the grappling prowess of Dricus du Plessis.

“Dricus Du Plessis has a specific fighting style that brings him success, but it also leaves him exposed,” Adesanya explained.

“When you’re facing someone as precise and lethal as me, well…the highlights are inevitable. My fighting style naturally produces highlights, and those are nice bonuses, but I don’t actively seek them out, they just happen.”

“I expect him to shoot for a takedown immediately. I doubt he’ll want to engage in a striking battle for too long. People always say this, but I’ve proven before that I have wrestling skills too. It might not be the same style as everyone else, but I can wrestle, and that’s how I became world champion in the first place.”

The stage is set for an electrifying encounter between Adesanya’s striking mastery and du Plessis’ potent grappling abilities.
