The secondary school football competition tagged “Oyo State governors cup” will commence on the 13th of May, 2024 to 22nd of May, 2024. The competition will commence across the state.
The football competition will start from the local government level to the zonal level. The competition is open to only public schools students in Oyo State. The zonal stage comprises of the following zones, Oyo zone, ogbomosho zone, Ibadan I zone, Ibadan II zones, Ibadan III, ibarapa zone, Oke-Ogun zone I and Oke-Ogun zone II.
The competition is aimed to discover talents from the grassroots and giving them to achieve their goals. The Oyo State ministry of education and his counterpart from ministry of sports collaborated together to enable this competition to achieve also peculiar ultimate limited is the main sponsor of the event.
Recall similar competition was held in Osun state few months ago which people applauded the organizer for the job well done in the competition. Oyo State will experience the same and the organizer promised to deliver their best.
