In a move aimed at supporting African football clubs, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed a financial assistance package of $50,000 (approximately N75 million) for each club participating in the preliminary round of the Champions League and Confederation Cup.

This welcome development is expected to boost the morale and financial stability of the participating clubs, including Nigerian representatives Rangers, Remo Stars, El Kanemi Warriors, and Enyimba, who will each receive the $50,000 grant.
